Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-04-30 · Draft, private testing only

Accountable is provided as-is to a small invited group during private testing. By using it you agree to the following.

Not a medical or financial service

Accountable is a personal-goal-tracking and accountability tool. It is not a medical device, not a substitute for professional treatment, and does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice. If you are in crisis or need immediate help, contact emergency services or a qualified professional.

No real-money rewards

Any "rewards" or "stakes" attached to goals in the current build are simulated. The app does not move money, hold deposits, or process payments. Future versions may integrate a regulated payments partner; that capability does not exist today.

Acceptable use

Your content

You retain ownership of the goals, check-ins, and other content you submit. You grant Accountable the limited license needed to store, process, and display your content to you and to people you explicitly share it with.

Availability

The service is in private testing and may be unavailable, slow, or lossy at any time. Don't rely on it as the only record of anything important. Back up things you care about.

Termination

We may suspend access at any time, with or without notice, if a user violates these terms or if we need to take the service down for any reason.

Disclaimer & limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Accountable is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes

We will post material changes here. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
